Jen has been in the insurance industry for 9 years. She began her career at our agency in 2016 before going to work for Erie Insurance in Claims and Customer Service. During her time with ERIE, she built an in-depth claims knowledge base and obtained several insurance industry designations. In 2024, Jen returned to apply her claims knowledge and leadership skills to our agency family.

My name is Melissa Ball, and I have been with the agency full-time for 19 years as an Agent/CSR.
I enjoy providing customer service and getting to know my customers, so I clearly understand their needs. I am originally from Ebensburg, PA, and have called Pittsburgh home for 19 years. I have always loved Pittsburgh since my college days at IUP. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends & family, working in the yard, taking walks, going to the gym, and taking beach vacations.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and have enjoyed working in the insurance industry for 30+ years, the last 6 years with J. S. Smith Insurance Agency. I am very lucky to work for and with good friends.
Married to a wonderful man and a proud bonus mom of two boys, a daughter-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter.
I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and binge-watching Netflix while drinking an expresso Martini!
